The European Medieval Colors Network aims to position research and scientific results dealing with color in the Middle Ages, in order to support its dissemination and provide professors, professionals, students, and the general public with a meeting point for exchange and repository of resources.
This network brings together specialists in disciplines such as History, Art History, Documentation Sciences, Conservation and Restoration, Philosophy, Chemistry, and Physics. The interdisciplinary studies of the subject enrich their vision and promote cooperation between specialists.
The great interest aroused by the study of medieval color means that the scope of the Network is European. For this reason, specialists from universities in Spain, Germany, Poland, Italy, France, and Sweden collaborate in it, and it is open to all those who are interested in cooperating.
